Tour of Flanders 2026: Pogačar, Van der Poel and Van Aert protagonists of the Ronde
The Flanders Triptych prepares for battle
The 2026 Tour of Flanderspromises to be one of the most spectacular editions in recent years, with three overall champions ready to battle it out on the legendary Flemish walls: Tadej Pogačar, Mathieu van der Poeland Wout van Aert.
Pogačar conquers Flanders
After dominating the Grand Tours and Classics on the WorldTour calendar, Tadej Pogačar aims to complete his palmares with victory in the Ronde. The Slovenian champion has demonstrated his ability to excel even on the short, steep climbs typical of the Northern Classics, and the Tour of Flanders is one of his main goals for the season.
Van der Poel defends his title
Mathieu van der Poel arrives as one of the big favorites, thanks to his experience on the cobblestones and his ability to make the difference in decisive moments. The Dutchman knows the route perfectly and has already proven himself unbeatable when on form on the Flemish roads.
Van Aert seeks redemption
Belgian local Wout van Aert wants to give his fans victory in the country's most important race. After several top-level seasons in the classics, Van Aert has all the credentials to triumph on the Oude Kwaremont and the Paterberg.
The iconic route
The 2026 Tour of Flanders route will retain the traditional features that make this race unique: over 250 km with 18 legendary climbs, including the Oude Kwaremont, the Paterberg, the Koppenberg, and the Muur van Geraardsbergen. The cobbled sections will put both riders and equipment to the test.
An epic challenge
The combined presence of Pogačar, Van der Poel, and Van Aert guarantees an extraordinary spectacle. Three riders with different but equally successful characteristics, ready to write another memorable chapter in the history of Flemish cycling.
The event will take place on the first Sunday of April 2026, when the streets of Flanders will once again be awash with the colours of cycling passion.
