Pedal, Florence rewards you: the incentive that pays you to use your bike is back!

Getting around Florence has never been so advantageous. The Municipality has officially launched the new edition of "Pedala, Firenze ti premia" (Pedal, Florence Rewards You), the initiative that transforms your pedal strokes into direct financial reimbursements to your bank account.

If you work or study in Florence and want to say goodbye to traffic, here's everything you need to know to participate and earn up to €30 per month.

🚲 What is "Pedala, Firenze ti premia"?

It is a project by the Municipality of Florence that encourages the use of bicycles (both muscular and electric) for daily commutes. Thanks to its integration with the IF App (Infomobilità Firenze), the system tracks your routes and assigns you a financial contribution based on the kilometers traveled and your ecological "virtue."

Financial benefits

The program offers two cumulative earning methods:

1. Kilometric reimbursement: a monthly incentive based on your actual travel, up to a maximum of €30 per month.

2. "Green" prizes: extra monthly prizes for the most active users (who accumulate more experience points, participate in events, or complete surveys).

👥 Who is it for?

The initiative is open to 2,000 new adult users who belong to one of these categories:

• Residents/domiciled in Florence who study or work in the Agglomeration Municipalities (Bagno a Ripoli, Calenzano, Campi Bisenzio, Lastra a Signa, Scandicci, Sesto Fiorentino, Signa).

• Residents/domiciled in the Agglomeration Municipalities who study or work in Florence.

Exclusions to note: Those who have already received contributions from the "e-bike/cargo bike purchase call" or who have already participated via the Pin Bike app cannot participate. The two benefits (purchase and mileage reimbursement) are not cumulative.

🗓️ Dates and Deadlines

Mark these dates so you don't miss your spot:

• Users on the waiting list (ex Pin Bike): Can access from March and by July 31, 2026.

• New users: Registrations open from April 1, 2026 until December 31, 2026 (subject to fund availability).

• Initiative duration: The project will remain active until April 4, 2027.

🛠️ What do you need to participate?

To start earning by cycling, make sure you have:

• A bicycle (normal or pedal-assisted).

• An updated smartphone (Android 10.0+ or iOS 17.6+).

• The IF App installed.

• An IBAN code in your name (to receive the bank transfer).

📝 How to register: step-by-step guide

For new users:

1. Online request: Access the online services portal of the Municipality of Florence via the "Accedi al servizio" (Access the service) button and enter the requested data.

2. Code reception: If the application is accepted, you will receive an initiative code via email.

3. App configuration: Open the IF App, tap the Gamification icon (the controller symbol), select the initiative, and enter your code.

4. Pedal! From that moment on, every home-to-work or home-to-study journey will be counted.

For those on the waiting list:

Check your inbox: you will receive the code directly from pedalafirenzetipremia@comune.fi.it. Enter it into the IF App, and you'll be ready to go.

💳 How are the prizes paid out?

No discount vouchers or complicated coupons: the Municipality of Florence will pay out the accumulated contribution each month via bank transfer directly to the bank account indicated during registration.
