Countdown to the Grand Départ: Florence is preparing to welcome the Tour de France!
There are fewer and fewer days left for the historic event that all cycling enthusiasts are waiting for: for the first time in over a century, the Tour de France will start from Italy.
From 29 June to 1 July 2024, Florence and Emilia-Romagna, together with Piedmont, will host the start of this legendary cycling race. Cyclists will parade along the streets of Florence, touching iconic places such as the Cascine, the historic center, and the Viola Park, where the official start will take place.Florence is preparing to host this great event with a rich calendar of activities that will culminate with the presentation of the teams at the square Michelangelo.
Santini the famous Italian brand of cycling clothing in partnership with the Tour de France, confirms the excellence with the Grand Départ jersey, a collector’s item that celebrates the 2024 start in Italy; si is a cycling jersey with a special graphic that combines the colors of the French flag and the Italian flag, symbol of the proximity between the two countries that host the most important cycling event in the world.
The jersey has a circular multicolored figure in the center, both on the front and on the back, which recalls the logo of the Tour and the shape of a wheel.
